The Resort is situated at Devbagh , an island off Karwar and offers a mesmerizing experience for all beach lovers. Building sand castles, collecting colourful seashells, chasing crabs in the sands and wading into the sea. Not to mention beach combing, a game of beach volleyball or just plain lazing in the shade on a hammock watching the shimmering sea.
For the adventurous, Devbagh offers a host of exciting water sports, parasailing, snorkeling, speed boat cruises, banana boat rides, water scooter and Kayaking. Very skilled instructors, adhering to stringent safety norms supervise these adrenalin-pumping activities.
Bordering the Resort are clusters of mangrove, with their ‘breathing roots’ jutting out. This is also an excellent spot for bird watching. One can also frequently hear and spot a pack of jackals prowling and hunting crabs on the beach at night.
At the nearby Devbagh village, you can watch the fisher-folk bring in their daily catch of Mackerel, Prawns and Pomfret, among others. You can even set off in a catamaran to see them casting nets in the Ocean. Or, get into a native two-man dugout along with a local fisherman ana try hand at angling.
There are many island off Devbagh and a visit to any them would be a great experience. And if you are lucky, you may even spot dolphins frolic gracefully in the azure waters.
